Frequently Asked Questions...
Q. How much are your puppies?
A. Please click here to see a complete current listing of all our available puppies and general pricing information. Our puppy-pricing is based on the pedigree and OFA certifications of each Dam/Sire.
Q. How soon should I reserve my puppy?
A. Since the pick order in a litter is determined based on when we receive the deposits, we advise you to place your deposit as soon as possible - especially if you know which sire and dam pairing you desire. We often receive deposits as early as six to twelve months prior to the actual birth of the pups!
Q. Where/How do I reserve a puppy?
A. Reserving a puppy is easy! Simply click here to fill out an application form. Please keep in mind that the reservation of a puppy requires an accepted application and a $300 non-refundable deposit. But don't worry - if for any reason you suddenly find yourself unable to purchase a puppy after your reservation has been made, or if there are not enough puppies in a litter to meet demand, your deposit is transferable to another litter.
Q. Is my puppy reserved when I fill out an application?
A. No. We at Indiana Goldens are dedicated to making sure all of our beautiful, purebred puppies go to the best possible homes where they will receive the love and care they need to thrive, which is why we ask each prospective puppy owner complete an application before submitting a deposit for their puppy. Once your application has been approved, you can submit your deposit and officially reserve your puppy.
Q. What's the difference between an English Cream and an American Golden?
A. While the primary difference between the two is the color, there is also statistical data supporting a slightly longer life expectancy for the European or "English" lineage as well as a reduced probability for the common cancers that can affect this breed. In general, retrievers can range in color from nearly white to deep red (below is a "scale" of color variation). However, the look, temperament and behavioral characteristics remain the same. You'll be getting a very intelligent, loving and loyal companion no matter which color variation you prefer!
Q. Do you offer puppy training?
A. Puppy training requires many hours of individual attention and care where the puppy is separated from it's littermates and free from distractions. On a limited basis we offer crate training and beginning obedience training for an additional fee. Inquire for details.
